WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE OPERATE

Safe Haven is a family-owned organization that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities through residential services. We are contracted with the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and the Department of Human Services (DHS). We bill through the Consolidated Waiver Program.

Our
Services

We offer a wide variety of care.

24-Hour Residential Services

Safe Haven residential services are funded through a Consolidated waiver program.

Home Cooked Meals

Safe Haven staff support and/or provide daily meals with the participation of all individuals.

Trained Staff

Safe Haven staff receive at least 24 hours of annual training on how to properly care for each individual.

Medication Support Services

Safe Haven staff are trained annually on medication administration. These services are provided as needed.

Life Skills Support

Safe Haven staff support each individual in their personal goals including independence, community integration and competitive integrated employment.

Community Participation

Safe Haven supports individuals who wish to volunteer, seek employment, or just participate in a day program.

Daily Activities

Safe Haven offers activities in and out of the home, including but not limited to: painting, sculpting, game days, swimming, bowling, movies, and museums.

Family Involvement

Safe Haven welcomes and includes family in activities and all decision making processes.

Our mission at Safe Haven Group Home is to provide adults with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to live independently and with total control over their lives while providing a living environment that is supportive, safe and respectful to the individual’s choices, freedom, and needs.
